I’m trying to figure out a way to control a McIntosh AVR using RS-232. There are a couple of specific commands I need that can’t be controlled via IR and I’m trying to figure out a way to do it. It’s been suggested that I use Home Assistant, but I’m stuck there as well. Any help here would be appreciated.
RS232 support will be added via third party hardwares like Global Cache. At the moment you can use the IR file from GC and send us by creating a template.
okay, the IR isn’t in line of sight, so I’ll have to wait for that update, any idea on when that will be implemented?
