I used the Denon integration to add my Marantz SR8012 but this seems to be missing the (four) Smart Select buttons. I use these frequently and exclusively (instead of the source input buttons) on my Harmony remote. I did find one IR profile for Marantz that has these buttons (although I haven’t tested it yet).
If you can help us find the IR file from the Global cache database. https://irdb.globalcache.com
Just to be clear the Denon integration I was referring to was the IP-based one. I checked your app for Marantz IR profiles and found one that shows the smart select buttons but haven’t tried it yet.
Ok got it. There will be some Telnet commands which even you can add to the custom URL and make it work. We will add them to the Denon integration in near future at the moment we are busy finishing new Smart TV integration for all TVs.
I found them, so try it under custom URL>Telnet Port is 23 use the IP of Marantz device and test these commands.
| SMART1 | MSSMART1 |
|---|---|
| SMART2 | MSSMART2 |
| SMART3 | MSSMART3 |
| SMART4 | MSSMART4 |
| SMART5 | MSSMART5 |
| SMART1 MEMORY | MSSMART1 MEMORY |
| SMART2 MEMORY | MSSMART2 MEMORY |
| SMART3 MEMORY | MSSMART3 MEMORY |
| SMART4 MEMORY | MSSMART4 MEMORY |
| SMART5 MEMORY | MSSMART5 MEMORY |
I don’t follow the command structure.
If I want to select Smart Select 1 what exactly do I put under the Command box? Do I just put “SMART1” or do I put “MSSMART1” or do I put “SMART1 MSSMART1”? What is the difference between “SMART1” and “SMART1 MEMORY”?
Test with SMART1 it should work.
Memory commands looks like they are to store the state just like you create Smart select.
Anyone ever get this working? Trying same on Denon AVR-4800h but no luck. Would help to clarify what to put in the Telnet command per the question from glc650 above. Thanks.
