How to Improve Haptiqe? Inspiration from Harmony Elite and My Suggestions

Hello,

I purchased your Haptiqe remote with high hopes that it would replace my well-used Logitech Harmony Elite, which I consider the best universal remote. Unfortunately, so far I’ve been disappointed with your product. However, I believe it has great potential. Based on my tests, it offers many basic functionalities, but it lacks user support for configuration and a database of IR codes based on device manufacturer and model (instead of random codes of unknown origin).

I think you could take inspiration from the Logitech Harmony Elite remote when it comes to configuring activities (sequences) and automatically assigning codes to buttons within activities and devices.

Let me present my AV setup and describe the problem I’m facing in getting the Haptiqe remote to meet my expectations. My setup includes: LG OLED TV, NAD T778, Rotel MICHI S5 (as a power amp for the T778), Cambridge Audio CXUHD, and Canal+ Polska Satellite Decoder (4K UltraBOX+). It’s hard to find IR codes for these devices :frowning:.

Example Activities:

TV SAT + Home Theater

  • LG OLED TV – power on
  • NAD T778 – power on
  • MICHI S5 – power on
  • 4K UltraBOX+ – power on

  • LG OLED TV – set to HDMI1
  • NAD T778 – set to HDMI ARC

  • NAD T778 – control volume
  • 4K UltraBOX+ – other functions

There is a wizard for this configuration, but:

I cannot set two audio devices (I need to turn on both NAD T778 and Rotel MICHI S5)
On the T778, I cannot set the HDMI ARC input (only “Input Tuner” appears)
The suggested KeyMap on the remote is incomplete. Power off, Home, and lower buttons are not assigned.

Stereo Music Playback from CD
There is no wizard for this configuration, and it’s basically impossible to set it up:

  • CXUHD – power on
  • NAD T778 – power on
  • MICHI S5 – power on

  • NAD T778 – set to CD (OPT1)

  • NAD T778 – control volume
  • CXUHD – other functions

Additionally, on the touchscreen, I would like to see some extra configurable functions from individual devices instead of controlling a specific device.

Regards,
