How to make FireTV Cube work?

I added the FireTV Cube with the app to my Room. But when I try to use it, the spinning icon comes up and none of the buttons control anything. How do actually add a FireTV and control it successfully? Its my main device and I cannot control it at all so far.

Are you using the Android integration?

Does the Android integration Auto discovery detects Fire TV?

If yes, select Fire TV option within the integration after you setup. Map to room and test it.

Yes I can detect the device and set it up as FireTV OS. But when I try to press the icon to control it, it just spins in the middle screen for a while then nothing shows on the main screen and none of the buttons control anything.

Is the device then mapped to a room icon?

Can you show via screenshot?

This is what I see. Then to blank screen:

Blank screen means Haptique is not getting the list of installed app but is connected.

Test the navigation button are they working?

We have a Fire TV stick 4k which is working with current Haptique version. But few others like TVs built in Fire TV(TCL) is not. So must the same case for you and many others.

Our team is evaluating this and working on an update to fix this issue.

No, no buttons seem to work at all. This is a FireTV Cube hardware device if that makes any difference. I also have a SofaBaton remote that I was able to customize and control my FireTv with so I know it’s possible with a 3rd party. Thanks for looking into it and I’m open to any suggestions.

Were you able to solve this with FireTV? Feedback will help us.

I am still unable to control anything on the Fire TV Cube. Can I manually copy the buttons from the original controller?

Yes, you can create ADB commands under custom URL.

If you know the basic adb commands like power, open app etc.

Hmm ok, not very familiar with ADB. Was hoping I could pint and clock the other remote so the Haptiq could learn from it directly.

I think Sofabaton is controlling using Bluetooth also RS90 do not have IR reader.

We will buy the Fire TV cube next week and test.

OK thank you, Its my main device ,so getting it working natively would b e great! I do also believe it uses Bluetooth.

RS90 cannot control Fire TV over bluetooth. Android TV can be.
