Macros/Sequences - Change Order

I may be missing something obvious here, but how can I change the display order of the macros/sequences? They seem to be in a random order currently - I can see that in the ‘Rooms’ area I can drag and drop the devices to move them around.

This is not available at the moment, you can check and uncheck favourites and make the order. We will provide this feature in coming updates.

Thanks, but this doesn’t quite work. If I ‘favourite’ them in my preferred display order it puts most of them in the right place, but not all of them. Not sure why that is…

As an aside, is there a proposed roadmap of what updates are coming and in what order? (I am particularly interested in LG TV, Apple TV and Kaleidescape IP integration)

I checked with the developers, the order of Macros is alphabetical at the moment. We will have to work on edit function on the Haptique itself.

Integrations we are currently working on is Android TV bluetooth, Apple TV IP and next will be Samsung Tizen and Lg WebOS.

Kaleidescape will take more time as we need a working unit to test and develop the UI which we do not have at the moment.

Ok, well I am not seeing it in alphabetical order either, neither on the app or the remote itself.

I will await a future release to resolve this….

If you’re impatient and don’t mind taking a bit of a risk—note that this is not officially supported by Cantata at the moment and doing so will void the manufacturer’s support—you can install a different launcher on the RS90 via ADB. Then, you can install the Kaleidescape app from the Play Store. This app can then be opened using a Custom Command from the Haptique app or from a sequence, and Kaleidescape should function normally on the RS90’s display. I haven’t tested this myself yet—I personally use Plex and other streaming services with 4K, and don’t use Kaleidescape. But in principle, you can unofficially install such apps from the Play Store on the RS90. If you don’t want to wait until Cantata offers an official integration for Kaleidescape in the Haptique app, this is a possible workaround.

Thanks for this - certainly food for thought.

For now, I can control my Kaleidescape via IP using the device via Home Assistant so that seems to work ok, just keen on a ‘neater’ solution.

Fundamentally, the Kaleidescape app would be the official solution provided by Kaleidescape itself. The problem is more that, so far, there is no official solution from Cantata to use additional apps on an RS90. This was also never officially announced or intended by Cantata for the RS90—only for the RS90x, which does not yet exist.

Therefore, if you don’t want to take the risk of using an unofficial workaround, the only option for now is to wait and see whether Cantata will eventually make this possible, or whether, as was once announced on the Kickstarter roadmap, they will make it directly possible to use Kaleidescape within the Haptique user interface.

We do not recommend using the Google play store because we have to remove it eventually via an OTA update. Our firmware running on the RS90 is not Google verified and is an AOSP so we have to trim down the GMS services.
