Unable to turn TV on or off within sequence

Hi - trying with the new Smart TV integration and with ADB, using a Sony Bravia 9 TV. Am able to turn the TV on or off as a device with no issue, but it doesn’t function when used within a sequence. Have tried with different delay times but still no luck. At this point would rather use ADB since it picks up more device apps than the Smart TV integration is for me currently, on both the TV and Nvidia Shield. Is there a trick to device on/off within a sequence? Thanks.

We will test this today, thanks for sharing.

Hello, it doesn’t work for me either. It didn’t work with infrared either. I already complained about it a few weeks ago.

Sony Bravia works for me using adb.

Is there a log or anything I can share to show it failing for me within a sequence?

No there is no log on the remote.

Ok, anything I can do to troubleshoot? I’ve tried extending the wait time but seems it’s not sending a signal to the TV. No other options really available to me. Should it work in both ADB and Smart TV modes?

So we tested it yesterday. The system on Android TV or Boxes, is that it kills the ADB server when turned off. We cannot start the TV via ADB. It needs to be awake by default. So the Smart TV method is better if it is waking up the TV. What you are asking is our sequence method doesn’t work fully. Well for us it works well. But we need to test with another unit.

We also have found Bravia IP control, which should be even better to use. We will work on it.

Hi is there any update on this functionality? I still cannot turn Sony Bravia TV on or off from within a sequence. Tried with Smart TV integration and with ADB. No luck. Works fine when using the button directly, just not within a sequence. Thanks.

There was an updated posted today.

I see the update but it doesn’t mention if this problem is resolved. I will try it later. Thanks.

Lot of Smart TV when they are Off doesn’t respond to the IP commands, so the best way is to start them using simple IR command. Once system is up it should connect over Wifi. Power Off usually works with most, but IR can also solve this issue for you.

On/off in sequences does actually work for me now since the latest update. Thanks very much.
