Hi All, does anyone know when Haptique will update the RS90’s software so that it’s useful? They won’t give me a refund so my only alternative is to wait for them to sort the buggy mess that is their software. The single, largest problem is that macros don’t work. At all. You set the correct IR devices, check they work using the pairing facility in the remote. Then you set up a macro and if you’re supremely lucky, one of the devices being controlled might acknowledge (at random) that it’s being asked to do something (the wrong thing).
Does anyone have any intelligence on their software update cycle? When can we expect the next major update?
Cheers,
R_V
Do you think the Macros are not useable in the current state?
The software update cannot solve it if we continue developing on the basis of what currently the state is.
Are you able to run sequence with all the commands working? If you are unhappy with Macros you need to try sequence in the room. It is identical at the moment but try and see if it works for you.
Most of the cases are IR is not reaching the device or the delay is not setup correctly. If you fine tune a little it should be working 9/10.
Hi @ccsfounder, thanks for your response. I have confirmed that the IR is capable of reaching the devices since the commands work in isolation, when verifying you have the correct IR code, using the remote’s binding functionality. I have also tried adding the macro to the room screen and it still does not work (although individual commands addressed to each specific device, do work).
I have not been able to get any Macros that use IR, to work reliably. Sometimes 1 out of 3 devices will function but it will do something other than what is requested. For instance my TV (LG OLED66G2) won’t switch on until trying to turn the macro off (and then only sometimes). Because of this, I have also tried using the command labelled as “Off” for the TV, to switch it on, and this only works sometimes. Most of the time, the only equipment to switch on is my amplifier (because it is a Denon and has IP control enabled by the RS90).
I’m assuming I’m not the only person experiencing this bug? Alternatively, if this isn’t a bug and my remote is just faulty, how do I go about arranging a return and refund?
The commands sent via Macro to LG needs little testing. Is it the same power toggle you have with the LG IR matching file?
See if you can find an IR file with discrete power command like On and Off separate. This will work best with Macros.
Device cannot be faulty if it work it is well.
